My Story

Hi, I'm Jacoline, the sole creator, designer and maker of everything behind The Learning Toy Box.I am a farmer's wife and along with our 2 children we live on a farm near Citrusdal.After my grandmother passed away in 2004 I inherited her sewing machine which I put away for a few years. In 2014 after the birth of my daughter I finally decided to take out the sewing machine, dust it off and started teaching myself to sew in the evenings after everyone had gone to bed. This took much patience, sewn fingers, frustration and finally succes as my skills and knowledge improved.The Learning Toy Box was created in 2016 with me selling my first activity cube. After this my ideas ran away with my and I have been making busy books, activity cubes and tummy time play mats ever since.
